About the Team Admin Central is building the future of how administrators work across Workday, turning a fragmented patchwork of tools and disconnected AI into a single, unified experience. Within Admin Central, Workday implementations move from being driven by human effort to being powered by intelligence designed into the platform. About the Role As a Software Development Engineer on the Admin Central team, you will design, build, and maintain high-performance microservices and data pipelines that power Workday’s next-generation Agentic Workflow and Analytics Platform.  Admin Central sits at the core of Workday's enterprise AI and automation strategy, serving over 700 customer accounts to handle ad hoc and ambient agentic requests through high-throughput analytics and agentic  this hands-on role, you will design multi agent architectures to provide enterprise grade agentic capabilities, extend existing agentic workflows (integrating tools like Lang Smith and Lang Chain) to provide deep visibility into agent execution, tool calls, and prompt/response chains across global multi-tenant environments, building out the governed deployment fabric where configuration, data migration, and validation are largely handled by agents, with key human in the loop interactions.

Key Responsibilities Feature Development:
Design, code, and deploy production-ready microservices and streaming pipelines for BPO's core analytics and agentic engines.

API & Data Engineering:
Build scalable REST and gRPC APIs to enable seamless integrations with MCP tools, LLM workflows, and observability frameworks.

Quality & Automation:
Write robust unit, integration, and distributed load tests, ensuring end-to-end reliability across CI/CD automation pipelines.

Operational Monitoring:
Monitor, triage, and resolve production issues to maintain high platform availability and low latency across global customer tenants.

Technical Documentation:
Author clean API specifications, component designs, and operational runbooks to support team scalability.
