Ford of Pleasanton is looking for a motivated Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our growing Service Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous hands‑on automotive repair experience who wants to develop their skills, earn additional certifications, and build a long-term career as a professional automotive technician.

We are looking for someone who understands the fundamentals of automotive repair, takes pride in their work, and is ready to learn from experienced technicians in a professional dealership environment.

• Assist with diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles

• Perform routine maintenance and entry‑level mechanical repairs

• Work alongside experienced technicians on more advanced repairs and diagnostics

• Complete vehicle inspections and accurately identify needed repairs

• Follow manufacturer repair procedures and dealership quality standards

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

• Properly document repairs and work performed

• Participate in ongoing Ford technical training and certification programs

• Previous automotive repair experience is required

• Automotive technical school graduates are strongly encouraged to apply

• Previous Ford dealership or Ford vehicle repair experience is preferred

• Ford STARS training and Ford technical certifications are a plus

• Must have or be actively building a professional set of automotive tools

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

This position is ideal for a developing technician who already has real-world automotive repair experience but wants the training, mentorship, and opportunity to advance to the next level.

We are especially interested in candidates who have completed an automotive technical program or have experience working in an independent repair facility, dealership, fleet operation, or similar automotive environment.
