Cactus Wellhead - Field Service Technician - I
Location:
Pleasanton, TX. This local position does not provide housing and is available to candidates residing in the area.
Job Summary
Performs field service activities including installation, testing, servicing, and repairing wellhead equipment. Maintains customer base by performing timely and competent service work.
- Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health, and environmental policies, procedures, programs, and regulations.
- Check compatibility of equipment, inspect condition, dry fit, and communicate relevant information with customers.
- Install and test equipment in accordance with operating procedures.
- Service equipment as requested by customers in accordance with maintenance procedures.
- Repair equipment as requested by customers and as necessary due to field malfunctions.
- Maintain service vehicle and equipment; perform periodic maintenance and report required repairs.
- Provide feedback through reporting field problems and failures to the Branch Manager.
- Ensure appropriate tools, backup equipment, and parts are available for service jobs.
- Prepare field service orders, rental tickets, and customer required documents accurately.
- Maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction by providing timely and competent service.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
High school diploma or GED; 1-3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Customer required training.
Certifications, Licenses, RegistrationsCertified in H2S, Safe Land, and DOT for driving vehicles greater than 10,001 GVWR.
Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities- Working knowledge of Cactus Wellhead product, customer service best practices, service documentation and record keeping, wellhead and valve equipment compatibility, installation, operation, and maintenance, field equipment repair, and troubleshooting of OEM equipment.
- Intermediate computer, language, and mathematical skills.
- Intermediate reasoning ability.
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift).
- Climb stairs and ladders.
- Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach.
- Work in confined spaces when required.
- Operate heavy equipment and power tools.
- Perform repetitive movements.
- Exposure to extreme weather conditions.
- Exposure to loud noise levels requiring hearing protection.
- Work in high places and confined spaces.
- Exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals.
- Work around moving mechanical parts.
- Work in hot and cold temperatures.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
- Participate in regular safety training.
- Complete required safety certifications.
- Comply with all environmental regulations.
- Pre-employment drug screening.
- Background checks.
- Medical examinations.
- Safety certifications.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Working in various weather conditions.
- Travel to remote locations.
