Position: Emergency Department Nocturnist- Physician- Mason City, Iowa
Employment Type:Full time
Shift:12 Hour Night Shift
Description:
Mercy One North Iowa
- Emergency Medicine
  • Nocturnist shift- 7pm-7am

  • Level III Trauma Center

  • 30,000 visits/year

  • Full-service hospital with a 24/7 Hospitalist program, air medical and ambulance services, CT/MRI in the department, bed-side ultrasound, and point-of-use supplies in every room

  • 42 hours of physician coverage/day

  • Tertiary center with 300+ physicians & specialist support to keep patients in house
    - Trauma surgery, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, GI, ENT, Pediatric Hospitalists, OBGYN, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Neurology, Infectious Disease, Ortho Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Anesthesia, Radiology, etc.

  • Only transfers out < 1% of patients

  • Practice at one site!

  • 24/7 scribe coverage and experienced, seasoned nursing staff

QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required. Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program; board certified or board eligible. Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges. Above average communication skills. Ability to work with a team. Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license;

Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
