Patient Population and Volume Adult and geriatric patients Practice mix: 50% hematology, 50% oncology, 0% internal medicine Average outpatient volume: approximately 30 patients per day Hospital-based patient volume: 0 Clinical Responsibilities and Required Procedures Management of VAD and CV catheters Bone marrow biopsies Participation on tumor board Management of bone marrow transplants Blood bank oversight Ordering diagnostic tests and imaging Prescribing medications Chemotherapy administration is supported by both the physician and nurse oncologists.
