Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a VOICE Coordinator to lead youth tobacco prevention and advocacy efforts in Marshall County. This role supports Indiana Tobacco Prevention and Cessation (ITPC) initiatives by engaging youth, delivering education programs, and building community partnerships to reduce tobacco and vaping use. The position requires frequent interaction with both youth and adults and offers flexible hours with occasional evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate VOICE activities and initiatives across Marshall County.
- Deliver tobacco and vaping prevention education in schools and youth-serving organizations.
- Recruit and engage youth and adult volunteers for VOICE programs.
- Build partnerships with schools, universities, faith-based groups, healthcare providers, civic organizations, and local businesses.
- Organize and facilitate regular meetings with the VOICE Action Core Group.
- Maintain communication channels to keep members informed of events and activities.
- Assist with statewide VOICE initiatives and participate in ITPC calls, trainings, and meetings.
- Collect and report data on youth tobacco use per grant requirements.
- Promote and encourage participation in regional anti-tobacco events.
- Ensure compliance with ITPC grant guidelines and reporting standards.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. - Experience:
Previous experience working with youth and community engagement is required. - Skills:
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities. - Other:
Flexible schedule (Monday–Friday with some evenings/weekends); ability to work independently and collaboratively.
