Job Overview
Parrett Veterinary Clinic is a unique pet care facility offering world‑class veterinary technology and service with a reasonable fee structure. The clinic provides equipment such as surgical laser, companion animal therapy lasers, digital radiology, and Idexx diagnostics. Extensive pet‑owner education allows clients to make informed decisions about their care.
Essential Responsibilities- Provides excellent care for patients visiting for grooming and/or boarding.
- Ensures patients are admitted with client instructions and records contact information and pick‑up time.
- Accurately records information related to each patient such as feeding schedules, appearance, and behavior.
- Observes patient appearance and activity for general physical condition, obvious signs of illness, disease, and discontent.
- Appropriately handles patients and, as needed, restrains difficult patients.
- Walks patients several times a day to provide exercise and time for elimination.
- Applies knowledge of normal food and liquid requirements and provides special food and liquids as necessary.
- Ensures patients are clean, fresh‑smelling, and ready for discharge; verifies all personal property is returned.
- Numbers and identifies cages and patients; stores personal property (toys, treats, blankets, leashes) in designated areas.
- Regularly cleans, disinfects, and maintains kennels, cages, runs, and stalls; performs general cleaning elsewhere to control disease spread; washes and sterilizes water and food bowls.
- Launders and dries towels and blankets.
- Walks hospital grounds, removes trash and stool material; empties trash throughout the practice and grounds.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work weekends as required.
- Previous veterinary experience preferred.
- Ability to lift patients up to 25 pounds; lift heavier with assistance.
- Practices OSHA safety techniques, including proper PPE.
- Patience & Compassion – remains professional while ensuring doctors, teammates, clients, and patients feel comfortable.
- Collaboration & Teamwork – coordinates actions with practice team, incorporates feedback to ensure positive results.

Benefits offered may vary depending on full or part time employment status according to company policy.
ScheduleIdeal candidate flexible with schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons, Wednesday split shift, and every other Saturday.
USD $12.50 – $13.50 per hour.
