Job DescriptionLooking to hire a passionate, motivated Site Coordinator to join our Before and After School Program team in Plymouth. The role will provide a fun, safe, and educational environment for children, encouraging creativity, friendship, and learning.
Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with EEC regulations and Old Colony YMCA policies (Child and Youth Care policy, Child Guidance Policy, Health Care Policy).
- Plan, develop, and implement the program curriculum in accordance with EEC regulations and YMCA policies.
- Adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of individual children, considering interests, disabilities, special talents, cultural diversity, and learning style.
- Lead daily activities, including Y Chat, Asset Curriculum, BOKS, and Fun/Food Curriculum.
- Maintain QRIS standards.
- Act in a public relations capacity when communicating with parents, school personnel, and potential clients.
- Supervise program participants in all locations and during trips.
- Complete necessary documentation: accident reports, incident reports, attendance records; forward copies to the School Age Director.
- Contribute to weekly staffing schedules.
- Publish a monthly newsletter/calendar of events for families.
- Serve as a positive role model for children while maintaining their proper behavior per YMCA policies.
- Ensure the Fun/Food Curriculum meets HEPA standards.
- Maintain attendance records and submit required reports and paperwork.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings and monthly curriculum meetings.
- Collect, record, and manage payments and billing according to the parent payment schedule.
- Submit monthly Bureau of Nutrition reports when applicable.
- Develop and maintain training programs, conferences, courses, and other professional growth opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with schools and other site-specific personnel.
- Plan and organize events that promote family and community connections.
- Act as an Assistant Camp Director when needed.
- Assist in planning specialty camps before and during camp season.
- Minimum of 20 years of age.
- School-age experience of at least one year.
- Minimum of two years of supervision/management experience.
- Evidence of a physical examination within the last 12 months.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
- Negative Mantoux TB test and immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella.
- High School diploma or equivalent plus 1 year working with school-age children, or S. or B.A. with 9 months experience with school-age children.
- Strong oral communication skills and occasional public speaking responsibilities.
- Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and clean when necessary.
- Capacity to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and occasional holiday shifts.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs on occasion and 40 lbs frequently.
- Understanding of Y-USA’s three focus areas:
