Pay: $26-32 per hour + profit sharing
Position ObjectiveHands-on, day-to-day work related to Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
Responsibilities- Assist lead engineers with day to day issues. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical failures either from the production line or returning from field.
- Project documentation, create schematics, Lab assistance, performing lab tests and writing test reports
- Sourcing electronic components and soldering them to circuit boards. Program embedded controllers. Assemble electrical and mechanical prototypes.
- Production line support
- Other duties as assigned.
Position is part of the product development group and supports manufacturing in problem solving.
Dimensions of PositionThis position needs a strong self-sufficient individual that can help design, prototype, and test new electronic and mechanical designs. This position will work closely with lead engineers and other technicians.
QualificationsEducation and Experience
Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience as determined by the hiring manager and Human Resources.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge and course work in electronic hardware and software.
- Knowledge of “C” language, Lab View experience is a plus.
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visual Basic. - Knowledge of Electronic Design Automation software (Altium, KiCad, Eagle)
- Knowledge of C/C++ or high-level languages (Python, Go) is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Strong research skills
- Proficient use of digital multi-meters, function generators, and oscilloscopes
- Demonstrate good soldering practices
- Excellent critical thinking and complex problem solving skills
- Exercises good judgment and has good decisional making skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Detailed oriented

Work is performed in a standard office and lab environment which requires occasionally lifting articles such as file boxes or heavier materials with help from others and/or lifting and carrying light objects frequently. A job in this category may require walking or standing to a significant degree or may involve sitting most of the time with long periods of computer work and phone usage.
This position is onsite.
