AboutThe Job
The primary focus for the Laser Cell Technician position is to set up and operate a custom automated cell involving laser, cleaning, and inspection of equipment. Additional part numbers or equipment may also be added to the cell as customer requirements are being developed.
Using the laser cell equipment, you will manufacture multiple part numbers to specific dimensions specified by blueprints, CAD drawings, and other documented specifications.
This position requires operation of laser equipment, handling of raw materials and involves inspection and use of measuring equipment, as well as packaging final products for shipment.
Essential Functions- Follow instructions of the Supervisor and/or Manager and conduct all work accordingly.
- Perform simple to complex tasks related to cutting/forming material using the Laser to customer specific process requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints and CAD files and to comprehend work orders.
- Enter instructions and program the laser including reference points to ensure smooth efficient operation. May select and set up lenses based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters.
- Produce quality parts to customer specifications; provide high level of attention to detail and focus on the given tasks.
- Setup/Troubleshooting of automation and robotics.
- Perform quality checks on parts with common measuring tools and purpose‑built gauges in compliance with company drawings, travelers and customer specifications.
- Follow Forklift Program and operate equipment in a safe manner prescribed by the program.
- Follow Company rules and policies, as well as all safety rules and quality standards.

$17.50-$25.00/hour. This is the full salary range for the position. Most new hires can expect to start around $17.50/hour. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
