Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for night shifts, requiring 3+ years of Med/Surg experience and a NH or compact RN license.
Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg unit with 18 beds

• Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric

• Average night RN to patient ratio is 1:6

• Night shift schedule: 3x12hr shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• Every other weekend and some holidays required

• No on-call responsibilities

• Uses Meditech EMR

• Travelers must live outside a 50+ mile radius

• Scrubs must be provided by the traveler and may be any color

• Maximum of 5 days of requested time off; time off requests around holidays are limited

• No previous local employment allowed

• No on-call or charge/precepting responsibilities unless otherwise specified

• First-time travelers will be considered but travel experience is preferred
Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required

• Current BLS certification from AHA required

• Minimum of 3 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience required

• ICU experience strongly preferred

• Travel nursing experience strongly encouraged

• Meditech experience highly preferred

• BSN preferred
