Job SummaryCrew Member/Laborer assists in both guardrail, sign, and fence repairs while working with other crew members and foremen. This position involves physical labor, operation of tools and equipment, and ensuring jobsite safety under the supervision of the crew foreman. Crew members receive comprehensive certifications and training throughout their development.
Job Responsibilities- Assist in loading and unloading of materials.
- Operate basic power tools and equipment that do not require additional licensure.
- Follow instructions on guardrail/fence repairs from supervisor(s).
- Complete Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) training.
- Drive non‑specialized/ non‑CDL vehicles.
- Assist in safety setups.
- Carry stock while loading and offloading.
- Assist foremen in other tasks as requested.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift greater than one hundred (100) pounds.
- Availability for non-business hour emergency response.
- Availability for scheduled night work and travel – 1‑3 days per week.
- Strong adaptability skills.
- Previous experience in a labor‑intensive environment.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to volunteer for off‑hour emergency work.
- Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and manual labor outdoors.
- Ability to handle materials, tools, and equipment safely.
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
