Overview
The role of the Senior Financial Analyst is to ensure accurate monthly reporting. The Sr analyst must be able to interface with departments including SG&A cost centers, Purchasing, Warranty, Facilities on a regular basis to ensure integrity of the data.
Primary Duties- Responsible for general ledger activity in SAP, including preparing and posting monthly and quarterly journal entries, special accruals.
- Prepare account reconciliation including analyzing and resolving any variances.
- Ensure monthly checklist of activities is completed in a timely manner for month end close meeting.
- Analysis of monthly cost center reports to be distributed to all SG&A groups.
- Maintain and consult with the warranty teams and BBC (Bratislava Business Center) all customer debits and timing accrual.
- Support all Purchase Orders activity i.e., PO creation and resolution with Bratislava Business Center, Monterrey Business Center and/or requestor, open PO’s activity for accruals, GRIR and timing on spend.
- Support the Controller on month/quarter/year end activities, annual budget deliverables as necessary.
- Coordinate and prepare all Intercompany billings for services like Manpower, OLSA.
- Fixed Assets requests and Capex Cash tracking for accuracy in actuals/outlook.
- Responsible for the integrity of current and standard costs for assigned plants.
- Actively assist plant controllers with resolving inventory costing and intercompany pricing issues.
- Process cost changes on behalf of the manufacturing plants.
- Review plant raw material finished goods and material variance costs for reasonableness.
- Support ad-hoc requests for analysis purposes.
- Four Year College Degree (Finance or Business desired)
- 5+ year experience as a financial analyst or cost accountant.
- Experience in the Automotive Industry
- Experience with MS excel required.
- Working knowledge of SAP and QAD required.
- Experience with HFM a plus.
- Proven interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Strong organization skills with follow-through and a focus on “the details”.
