JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Summary:

This role is one of the main touching points with each guest on property. This person will be greeting, announcing, and providing golf course knowledge for each guest as they come up to the first tee.

Key Responsibilities:

• Possess strong communication skills to confidently address members by their surname, ensuring accurate pronunciation.
• Maintain a tidy and orderly appearance at the first tee starter booth and courtesy area.
• Consistently present in the designated uniform with a name tag during shifts.
• Efficiently manage and monitor tee times for daily play.
• Maintain regular communication with the Pro Shop and bag room for updates on starting times.
• Be prepared to stand for extended periods; the role does not accommodate sitting in a cart. Engage guests with warm and friendly greetings.
• Ensure all guests are duly registered at the shop and provide guest tags if they were missed at the bag drop.
• Manage opening and closing procedures.
• Capable of working swiftly and effectively with people and technology, including troubleshooting (e.g., Wi-Fi connectivity.)
• Offer direction or assistance to club members or guests as needed.
• Stay informed about events and relevant information to communicate to members and guests.
• Oversee time management and enforce pace-of-play policies at the first tee.
• Relay any issues to the Professional Staff.
• Take pride in the facility and strive to deliver an exceptional experience for every guest.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Experience in customer service role, preferably in golf

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Passionate about golf and knowledgeable about our Facility.
• Ability to have a strong voice and work on a microphone system when needed.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and evenings as required.
