• Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
• Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire replacement, component lubrication, electrical and cooling system repairs on gas and diesel engine vehicles
• Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong problem‑solving skills and comfort using tools
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Team player with ability to work well both independently and collaboratively
• Basic computer skills
• Understanding and compliance with Penske’s instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information established by management
• Adherence to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies, including tool selection, PPE, machine guarding, and best safety practices
• Regular, predictable full attendance
• Required to meet DOT regulations, maintain a current driver qualification file, pass DOT physical, MVR check, and other documentation; CDL holders subject to drug screening and FMCSA Clearinghouse review
• Willingness to work required schedule, location, complete application, pass background screening, drug screen, physical, and potential near‑geography travel for training

• Move frequently; stand, walk, climb, bend, sit for extended periods
• Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle tools or controls on a routine basis
• Work safely at heights with ladders and work platforms
• Work in all weather conditions
• See and hear safely to navigate large truck environment
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg); occasionally lift up to 100 lbs (45 kg) and push/pull truck tires that exceed 100 lbs
