Job Description:

A Civil Hand assists in the civil activities required for telecom tower installation, maintenance, and related infrastructure works. The role involves manual labor, site preparation, material handling, and supporting skilled workers in executing civil tasks for telecom sites.
  • Perform civil work to include trenching, digging, concrete forming and pouring, setting in conduit, pulling in electrical cables, mounting cabinets, and other activities.
  • Technical support when necessary.
  • Safely operates assigned company equipment and ensures that it is maintained according to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Supports the successful completion of project schedules, tasks as assigned, and control of construction activities.
  • Provide on-site project presence throughout the project life cycle as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push and pull 75lbs, and must be able to crouch, kneel, twist, reach, grasp and climb with both hands and legs.
  • Ability to blend well and work well with crew members.
  • Must have a strong and reliable work ethic, be willing and able to follow directives, and able to work in inclement weather conditions.
  • Must maintain proper personal hygiene, a clean presence in company trucks, and a neat presence of tools and equipment in trailers.
  • Willingness to take on and learn new tasks - as needed.
  • The ability to follow construction and installation procedures and policies.
  • Must be able to work OT and weekends as required.
  • Direct responsibility for personal tool inventory.
  • Candidates must pass a background, Drug test, and DMV screening to be considered for employment.
  • Travel outside of our current markets (Michigan, Ohio & Indiana) may be required.
