Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented and driven Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of accounts payable while supporting positive vendor relationships and internal collaboration. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.

• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and on time
• Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries
• Reconcile vendor statements to the accounts payable subledger
• Issue purchase orders to vendors as needed
• Set up new vendors and maintain required documentation and compliance records
• Prepare and process annual 1099 reporting
• Assist with documentation and support for external audits
• Maintain professional, positive communication with vendors and internal stakeholders
• Support the accounting team with special projects and process improvements as needed

• Minimum of 3 years of accounts payable experience
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• Ability to adapt and transition between multiple accounting platforms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to manage priorities and meet multiple deadlines
• Experience in manufacturing or construction environments is a plus
