hourly rate: $18 - $22/hour doe

location: plymouth, mn

children: two, ages 9 & 12

schedule:

• monday - friday
  • morning: 7:30 am – 8:30 am (pick‑up and drop‑off)
  • afternoon: 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm (roughly 4 hours after school)

total of approximately 5 hours per day, 25 hours/week. This could be upped to 30 hours per week if the nanny would prefer more hours; we are willing to add 5 hours of family‑assistant tasks.

ideally we would like the same nanny for before and after school hours, but if it works out better to have two separate nannies we’d be open to that too.

responsibilities:

pick‑up and drop‑off of children at school each morning and afternoon.

light meal preparation. The children’s meals will most likely already be prepped ahead of time in the fridge; you will just need to reheat them or prepare easy meals such as buttered noodles.

keep the children on task with after‑school routines and responsibilities.

tidy up after the children if they are unable to due to their schedules. Help with the kids’ laundry would be nice too.

if you’re in need of extra hours we are open to offering 5 hours for family‑assistant related tasks.

pets: none

* 2 weeks of pto and a variety of holidays off as well (if they fall during the week).

* being seen as part of the family.

$40/week for gas money. We’re open to having you track the mileage to make sure this is a fair price week; we just would prefer to make it an easy process for everyone.

requirements:

• a solid background in childcare, specifically with school‑aged children.
• a strong driving ability and comfort driving in all weather conditions, with a clean driving record. We live in plymouth but our kids are part of the minnetonka school system, so transport to and from school is a must.
• a genuine enjoyment of being around children, focusing on keeping them on task and following their routines.
• willingness to sign a privacy agreement, prohibiting photos or social media posting of the children.
• up‑to‑date cpr and first aid certification, with proof of certification.
• up‑to‑date on all vaccines.
• we are not looking for a nanny who would need to bring their child with.
• our oldest has very bad allergies. We would require you to be aware of these needs and be willing to adapt. Ideally if you don’t have pets or live in a household that has pets that would be ideal, or if you are willing to change clothes prior to entering the house. We’re happy to walk you through this and teach you about our needs.

commitment: minimum of one year but ideally looking for someone to grow with and become part of the family.
