Overview

Strings Multi-Instrument Music Instructor at Shoulak Music - Twin Cities – Part-time position. Bach To Rock (B2R) America’s Music School for students of all ages is currently seeking a Strings (multi-instrument) Instructor to provide music and performance lessons to students.

Bach to Rock uses the B2R curriculum to deliver inspiring and well-balanced music education. Teachers help students learn theory and technique through music they know and love, fostering musicians who enjoy performing, recording, and composing.

Pay range: $18.00/hr (base; varies by education and experience). Details are provided by the recruiter.

Compensation begins at $18/hr we are looking for someone who can offer at least 3 days a week (including Friday or Saturday) with flexibility. Our schools are open from 11am – 9pm, seven days a week (camps start as early as 9:30am on select weekdays).

• Teach private and semi-private lessons using Bach to Rock curriculum and cover song arrangements.
• Create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphere.
• Assess a student’s readiness to join a band or ensemble.
• Assist at school events (on-site and off-site).
• May repair equipment as needed and able.

• Demonstrated understanding of music concepts and ability to communicate them effectively to students.
• Advanced understanding of music theory and technique relevant to the primary instrument.
• Effective time management and organizational skills to keep students on task in a lesson.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities.
• Experienced performer (solo or in a group).
• Experience working with youth and/or beginning musicians.
• Ability to interact effectively with children and adults.
• Ability to pass a background check.

• Location:
  
  Twin Cities area (Bach to Rock franchise).
• Must not teach at another music lesson facility within 5 miles of our location.
• We handle marketing, scheduling, booking, billing, and other business aspects; you focus on teaching.
• B2R offers an hourly rate based on education, experience, expertise, and availability, with pay reviewed over time based on performance.
