Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, develop and coordinate the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule.
  • Ensure projects are horizontally and vertically integrated across functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing and quality.
  • Support the organization by managing and coordinating program schedules that help meet customer goals and expectations.
  • Work closely with Program Manager(s), Material Program Manager(s) and other key program personnel on schedule requirements.
  • Understand overall requirements of the proposal, design, procurement, manufacturing and testing to generate schedules tracking all activities.
  • Analyze schedules at least weekly to ensure program requirements are met.
  • Monitor schedules and report status to the Program Manager and appropriate IPT leads.
  • Prioritize and expedite tasks to ensure schedule requirements are fulfilled.
  • Maintain accurate schedules from program inception through contract closeout.
  • Identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts.
  • Utilize Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management (EVMS) and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances.
  • Coordinate with the Program Manager on financial reports, quarterly EACs and all EVMS requirements.
Principal Program Level Required Skills
  • 9 years of work experience (or BA/BS with 5 years, MS with 3 years).
  • 3–5 years of scheduling experience.
  • Excellent math and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Minor domestic travel required; overseas travel opportunities may exist.
  • U.S. Citizen and able to acquire security clearance.
  • Able to travel up to 10% of the time.
Principal Program Level Desired Skills
  • MBA preferred.
  • Thorough working knowledge of precedence diagramming, critical path methods, and all aspects of network logic and diagramming.
  • Understanding of 14‑point schedule health and strength assessment tools.
  • Understanding of EVMS.
  • Capability to build an IMP/IMS for large programs with complicated assemblies and multiple locations.
  • Understanding of Open Plan and Microsoft Project tools.
  • Understanding of interface requirements between Open Plan and Cobra.
  • Understanding of Schedule Risk Analysis.
Senior Principal Program Level Required Skills
  • 12 years of work experience (or BA/BS with 8 years, MS with 5 years).
  • 3–5 years of scheduling experience.
  • Excellent math and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Minor domestic travel required; overseas travel opportunities may exist.
  • U.S. Citizen and able to acquire security clearance.
  • Able to travel up to 10% of the time.
Senior Principal Program Level Desired Skills
