Job OverviewAt TE Connectivity, you’ll help bring our purpose to life by creating a safer, sustainable, productive and connected future. As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern in the Medical Business Unit, you will gain hands‑on experience supporting manufacturing processes that produce components for medical devices. You will work alongside engineers, operations, quality, and maintenance to:
- Support day-to-day manufacturing needs and help resolve production issues.
- Use structured problem‑solving and data analysis to identify causes and recommend practical improvements.
- Contribute to tooling, fixtures, process improvement, and cross‑functional projects that build manufacturing capability.
At TE Connectivity, you’ll be part of a global collaborative culture where your innovative approach and actions have the potential to transform the world of tomorrow. In this role you’ll:
- Support engineers and production teams with troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow‑up.
- Collect, organize, and analyze manufacturing data to evaluate yield, process capability, cycle time, quality, and performance trends.
- Assist with the design, procurement, fabrication, testing, and documentation of tooling and fixtures.
- Help plan and execute engineering trials, process improvements, and updates to manufacturing instructions.
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and other functions, and present internship project results at the end of the assignment.
- Have earned a high school diploma or GED.
- Are currently enrolled in a BA/BS program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field at an accredited college or university—or have equivalent experience. Gap-year students may also be considered.
- Bring relevant coursework, a hands‑on project, student organization experience, or a prior internship that demonstrates curiosity and applied problem‑solving.
- Are authorized to work in the U.S.
