The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the location’s financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and compliance. This role ensures accurate and timely financial statements, maintains strong internal controls, and provides strategic financial insights to support business decisions. The Controller leads the local finance team, manages audits, and drives continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.
Yourresponsibilities will include
- Accounting Operations:
Oversee daily accounting activities including General Ledger, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, cost accounting, and inventory management. - Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports in compliance with GAAP/IFRS. - Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead annual budget preparation and revisions; manage weekly and monthly forecasts; monitor variances and explain key drivers. - Margin Analysis:
Monitor and analyze manufacturing and inventory costs, margins, operating expenses and cost structures; provide insights and recommendations to improve profitability. - Internal Controls:
Maintain and strengthen internal control environment; develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance and safeguard assets. - Cash Flow Management:
Monitor cash flow and working capital; prepare 13‑week cash flow forecasts. - Audit & Compliance:
Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies. - Process Improvement:
Champion efficiency initiatives and optimize financial systems (ERP, reporting tools). - Leadership:
Supervise and develop finance team; foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. - Strategic Support:
Provide financial analysis and insights into executive leadership for decision‑making and strategic initiatives.
Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
Safety Protocol- Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
- Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
- Support safety policies and programs.
- Provides leadership and direction to their team.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.

QualificationsEducation / Experience /
Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in finance/accounting, preferably in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP One or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools preferred.
- Strong background in cost accounting and margin analysis.
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Capable of interaction at all levels of the organization.
