The operating room nurse will serve as scrub and circulate for all orthopedic cases at the Surgery Center. The surgical scrub (RN Surgical Scrub) is an integral part of the surgical team, possessing expertise in sterile and aseptic technique, human anatomy, surgical procedures, equipment, tools and technologies to facilitate a physician’s performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.

Eligible for a $12,000 Sign On Bonus (Amount pro-rated based on assigned FTE).

This is a full‑time position based at our Plymouth Bass Lake Campus with 10‑hour shifts on a rotating schedule. The nurse must be flexible to float to other Summit surgery centers as needed.

• Week 1:
  Tuesday – Friday
• Week 2:
  Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

• Collect, interpret, record and communicate pertinent data that are relevant to providing and promoting a safe surgical patient outcome. Data are concurrently assessed for optimum patient care and planned discharge of the ambulatory surgical patient.
• Follow established guidelines for providing safe nursing care.
• Organize equipment and monitoring devices needed to perform assessment.
• Utilize available resources in planning care; utilize external resource staff as needed (physicians’ assistants, MRI / radiology, anesthesia, surgeon preferences).
• Revise plan of care as needed to accommodate patient’s specific needs.
• Communicate plan of care to other staff of the center as needed.
• Provide direct care to patients, meeting their physiological and psychological needs.
• Continuously evaluate the patient’s response to nursing and surgical interventions and modify the plan of care to accommodate changes to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Summiton’s hiring range for this position is $40.77 to $54.33 per hour. The hired candidate may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, differentials and/or deferred compensation. Your final base salary will be determined based on skills, education, experience and internal equity.
