• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Regularly re‑assess treatment plan effectiveness, attend staff meetings and family conferences
• Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referrals and education resources
• Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physicians, service recipients, and family members
• Collaborate with other disciplines to coordinate care and enhance patient outcomes

• Master’s degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• Valid Speech Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practice
• Current CPR certification as per state regulations
• Minimum of one year’s work experience as an SLP
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
  
  Ability to lift 50 pounds and, as required, lift up to 100 pounds during patient handling
• Requires fine motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to walk/stand for extended periods
• Physical demands include pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently
• Health screen or examination may be required before assignment and periodically thereafter
