Interim Accountant

Your new company Hays are recruiting on behalf of a leading global organisation for an experienced Interim Accountant to join their finance team on a fixed-term temporary assignment. Your new role

This is an excellent opportunity for a QBE or part-qualified accountant to gain exposure to a complex and fast-paced finance environment, supporting month-end reporting, payroll accounting, lease accounting and statutory compliance activities. Manage lease accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Support payroll accounting, including journals, reconciliations and reporting. Prepare and complete monthly and quarterly corporate reporting requirements. Produce PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) returns and related compliance reporting.

Analyse and report on financial variances, providing meaningful business insights. Lead month-end close activities for designated business units. Prepare and present balance sheet reconciliations and reviews. Assist with annual tax reporting and compliance requirements. Support financial controls, governance and process improvement initiatives. What you'll need to succeed Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.

Experience of month-end accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Knowledge of financial controls, compliance and regulatory requirements. Experience using ERP systems is advantageous, with exposure to Oracle, Power BI or Power Query beneficial but not essential What you'll get in return Hybrid working arrangement. 3 days office / 2 days home Opportunity to join a well-established international business.
