Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been exclusively engaged by a highly respected professional services organisation, experiencing continued growth. They now seek to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their collaborative finance team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering hybrid working.

Working closely with the Finance Manager and wider team, this role offers great variety and the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the finance function. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and smooth running of financial operations across the organisation, including:

  • End-to-end bookkeeping and journal processing
  • Maintaining ledgers and reconciliations
  • Reviewing costs against budgets and reporting key variances
  • Assisting with management accounts preparation and monthly reporting
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns, payroll data and audit schedules
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and benchmarking activities
  • Processing expense claims and supporting accounts payable and receivable
  • Providing cover and support for credit control when required

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. An AAT qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous, though candidates qualified by experience are equally encouraged to apply.
