Payroll Administrator

In a nutshell

Join our Payroll team and help deliver a reliable, accurate and client-focused service to businesses across a wide range of sectors. You'll take ownership of a portfolio of clients, processing payrolls, responding to queries and building trusted relationships, all while working alongside a supportive and collaborative team.

• Processing a wide variety of client payrolls as part of the wider team
• Acting as the main point of contact for a defined portfolio of clients
• Onboarding new client payrolls, ensuring data is accurate and identifying opportunities for efficiency
• Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering a professional, responsive service
• Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and applying changes accurately
• Responding to client queries efficiently, accurately and within agreed timescales
• Liaising with HMRC regarding employer payments and payroll-related queries
• Ensuring payroll processing is completed accurately and on time

• Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation
• Experience managing a defined client portfolio effectively
• Excellent client service skills and a high level of attention to detail
• Confident communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, supporting colleagues when required
• Ability to manage priorities and meet strict deadlines
• A polite, professional approach when working with a wide range of clients
• Good IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
• Accuracy, numeracy and a methodical, organised approach to work
