Actual Salary Range: £28,790 - £31,257

Join Our School as an Office Manager

Are you an organised, proactive and experienced administrator looking for a rewarding role within education? We are seeking an exceptional Office Manager to lead our busy school office and play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our school. This opportunity is based on the information provided in the Job Description.

As Office Manager, you will be at the heart of our school community, ensuring high-quality administrative, financial and organisational support is delivered across the school. Working closely with the Headteacher and senior leaders, you will help create an environment where pupils and staff can thrive.

About the Role

This is a varied and rewarding position that combines office management, administration, finance and people management responsibilities. You will:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the school office.
  • Lead, support and develop a small administrative team.
  • Coordinate admissions and pupil data management.
  • Support payroll processes, absence administration and overtime claims.
  • Assist with financial monitoring and administration.
  • Organise school trips, events and meetings.
  • Support health and safety compliance across the school.
  • Attend Senior Leadership Team and Governing Body meetings where required.
  • Maintain effective systems, records and procedures that support the school's operations.
About You

We are looking for a confident and highly organised professional who can prioritise competing demands and work independently when required.

You will have:

  • Experience working within a school environment.
  • Experience managing and developing administrative staff.
  • Experience of financial administration and financial systems.
  • Experience of HR systems and procedures.
  • Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • A methodical and accurate approach to work.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration or an equivalent qualification.
