Duties of the Panel Beater:
Repair or replace vehicle panels, chassis, and structural components, following manufacturer specifications
Dismantle and reassemble vehicles with precision, employing jigging, welding, and structural repair techniques
Ensure all repairs meet high standards of quality and customer expectations
Maintain tools and work area in a safe, clean, and organised manner
Mentor and support less experienced colleagues to uphold repair standards
Adhere strictly to health and safety policies and procedures
Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure timely progress
Attend training sessions to stay updated on new repair techniques and technologies
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Panel Beater with relevant industry background
Knowledge of modern repair methods, including aluminium and high-strength steel
Familiarity with structural repairs, chassis alignment, and workshop procedures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with keen attention to detail
Understanding of manufacturer specifications, technical bulletins, and repair processes
Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
Willingness to undertake ongoing training and professional development
IMI Accreditation is desirable but not essential
