Butler Rose are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a prestigious and well-established manufacturing business in the Plymouth area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected employer, taking on a pivotal role within their Procurement function.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Coordinator will play a key part in supporting supplier relationships and ensuring all purchasing requirements are managed effectively. This position would suit an organised and driven individual who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

The Role

As Procurement Coordinator, you will:

  • Place purchase orders with suppliers in line with forecast and demand data.
  • Manage the full administration of purchasing processes, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Work closely with Planning, Production, and Customer Services to maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Liaise across departments to coordinate order confirmations, amendments, and product details.
  • Arrange and track transport of goods, ensuring timely and cost‑effective deliveries.
  • Expedite orders where necessary to minimise shortages.
  • Monitor stock quality and waste, raising discrepancies with suppliers where needed.
  • Support supplier relationship development under supervision and provide advice on procurement matters.
  • Contribute to departmental KPIs around on‑time, on‑budget purchasing and stock optimisation.
About You

We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Strong organisational and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Confidence with numerical problem solving.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to working across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Good standard of education (GCSE essential; A-Level or equivalent desirable).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
