ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Procurement Manager you will:
- Source and procure goods and services to deliver optimal value for money while meeting service and quality requirements.
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from tendering and negotiation through to contract delivery and performance monitoring.
- Conduct competitive tender processes in line with company procurement policies and governance frameworks.
- Negotiate commercial and contractual terms to balance value, quality, and risk.
- Build and manage strong supplier relationships, driving performance improvements and resolving disputes when required.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and position procurement as a strategic partner.
- Identify and deliver cost‑saving opportunities and process improvements across the procurement function.
- Operate and maintain procurement systems and tools to support efficient purchasing and reporting.
- Work with HSEQ teams to ensure suppliers meet safety, quality, and compliance standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and undertake additional procurement and supply chain activities as required.
- Proven experience in a comparable procurement role managing end‑to‑end procurement processes.
- Strong understanding of contract law and experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage supplier performance and commercial risk.
- Experience working within industrial sectors such as power generation, petrochemical, or heavy engineering (desirable).
- Familiarity with procurement systems such as SAP and e‑tendering platforms, with strong IT skills.
- Highly organised and self‑motivated, able to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Strong communicator and influencer, skilled at building collaborative relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Analytical and adaptable, with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
