Role Description The ITAD Manager & Device Trader will oversee the full lifecycle of devices within iMint’s circular economy operations in a remote capacity. This role involves managing IT asset disposition processes, including intake, grading, data erasure, refurbishment decisions, and preparation for resale across multiple product categories. The individual will build and maintain trading relationships with suppliers and buyers, negotiate pricing and terms, and coordinate global purchasing and sales of graded and faulty devices.
Day-to-day tasks include market research on device values, monitoring demand and stock levels, optimizing margins, and ensuring compliance with data security, environmental, and regulatory standards. The ITAD Manager & Device Trader will collaborate with operations, finance, and logistics teams to support efficient workflows, accurate reporting, and timely delivery to partners worldwide.
Qualifications
- Experience in IT asset disposition (ITAD), device lifecycle management, or secondary device markets, including handling graded and faulty devices.
- Strong commercial and trading skills, such as supplier and buyer relationship management, price negotiation, and margin optimization.
- Knowledge of data security, data wiping standards, and compliance frameworks relevant to ITAD and electronic waste management.
- Ability to analyze market trends, device pricing, and inventory data to support purchasing and sales decisions.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, inventory systems, and basic reporting tools; familiarity with ERP or trading platforms is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
- Prior experience in consumer electronics, mobile distribution, or insurance/retail device programs is crucial to be considered for this role.
- Relevant education or certifications in business, supply chain, IT, or a related field are preferred but not mandatory.
