Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for Site Engineer on a 12 Month Contract, based in Plymouth.
Role Summary
The Site Engineer is responsible for managing day-to-day construction activities on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with design specifications and quality standards. The role involves technical supervision, setting out works, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Set out works in accordance with drawings and specifications.
* Interpret engineering drawings and ensure accurate implementation on site.
* Supervise construction activities and monitor progress against schedule.
* Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site workers.
* Ensure materials used meet project specifications and quality standards.
* Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues.
* Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Liaise with project managers, consultants, and clients.
* Monitor project costs and assist with quantity measurements where required.
* Ensure work is completed within agreed deadlines.
Requirements
CSCS, SSSTS (desirable)
Setting Out qualification
Temporary Works Supervisor (desirable)
Essential skills: attention to detail, highways experience, structures experience.
