Site Manager - Heavy Industrial / Steel Frame

Salary: £55,000 & completion bonus

Contract Type: 18-Month Fixed Term Contract

We are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a contractor based in Plymouth, delivering a heavy industrial / steel frame construction project. This is a fast‑paced, high‑pressure site environment, requiring a strong leader who can manage site operations effectively while maintaining safety, quality, and programme targets.

• Oversee day‑to‑day site operations on a busy construction project
• Manage subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely and to programme
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and site compliance, including CDMs
• Monitor progress, quality, and productivity across the project
• Ensure all procedures and site processes are followed correctly
• Work closely with the wider project team to deliver on key milestones

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on industrial or steel frame projects
• SMSTS certification
• CSCS card
• First Aid at Work
• Temporary Works (advantageous)
• Strong IT skills and ability to manage site systems and reporting
• Ability to work in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment
• Strong organisational and communication skills
