SEND Teaching Assistants

SEND Teaching Assistant – Full-time, long-term supply from as soon as possible

These long-term supply roles are ideal for SEND Teaching Assistants who are looking for consistency and the opportunity to build strong relationships across schools in Plympton and the surrounding areas.

• Support pupils with a range of special educational needs across primary settings
• Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement individual learning plans
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to help pupils access the curriculum
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
• Assist with personal care and mobility where required
• Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment

• Experience supporting children with SEND in a school or care setting
• Confident working acrossany year
• Patient, empathetic and adaptable to changing needs as a SEND Teaching Assistant.
• Able to follow safeguarding and behaviour policies consistently
• Willing to commit to full-time, long-term placements
• Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent are desirable
