KS1 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing

KS1 Teacher role offers a full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing opportunity starting in September 2026. The inspection report highlights a caring and inclusive primary environment where pupils feel safe, supported, and encouraged to develop positive attitudes to learning. Teaching in the early years and Key Stage 1 promotes strong relationships, clear routines, and a nurturing approach that supports pupils’ personal development.

Leadership demonstrates a clear commitment to safeguarding and improving provision, with a strong focus on supporting children’s well‑being and progress.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom environment
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Use assessment to monitor progress and inform teaching
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities
  • Promote positive behaviour, routines, and independence
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and staff
  • Support transitions within Key Stage 1
  • Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
Ideal KS1 Teacher
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
  • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and child development
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Creative, patient, and nurturing teaching approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable and committed to a long‑term role
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Salary

Your salary – dependent on experience – is paid weekly through PAYE.
