Teaching Personnel are seeking a confident and experienced SEN Outreach Teaching Assistant to support children who are currently not accessing mainstream education. This role involves working with pupils in a variety of settings, including home, community, and specialist provision, helping them re-engage with learning and develop confidence in education. This is a highly rewarding role suited to a resilient and proactive educator who can build strong relationships and adapt learning to meet individual needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
  • Support children who may have SEMH, ASD, or complex needs
  • Help pupils re-engage with education through personalised learning approaches
  • Manage behaviour effectively and maintain a calm, structured environment
  • Work closely with schools, parents, and professionals to support student progress
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual EHCP targets and needs
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Strong behaviour management and the ability to build trust and rapport quickly
  • Experience supporting students who may be out of mainstream education
  • Full UK driving licence (clean)
  • Own vehicle with business insurance - essential
  • Reliable, resilient, and able to work independently
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
