About The Role
Plympton Academy is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join our team on a fixed-term basis from January 2027 or sooner until 31 August 2027.
We would also welcome applications from candidates seeking a part-time role.
You will join a supportive and dedicated team of English teachers and play an important role in delivering a high-quality English education for our students. We are looking for a creative and dynamic practitioner who can inspire and engage students of all abilities, set high expectations and support every learner to achieve their full potential.
You will:- Be passionate about teaching and learning and improving the life chances of our students.
- Deliver high-quality classroom practice, with high expectations for achievement and behaviour.
- Plan and deliver a creative, engaging and stimulating curriculum.
- Be committed to your own professional development and keen to take advantage of the CPD opportunities available.
- Contribute positively to the values, ethos and continued development of Plympton Academy.
- A qualified teacher with QTS.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English.
- Creative, resilient and able to adapt your teaching to meet the needs of individual learners.
- Committed to the potential of every student and to removing barriers to learning.
- A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with students, colleagues and families.
