Student Behaviour Assistant - Westlands Academy; Horizons Specialist Academy Trust

32.5 Hours per week, term time only + 5 PL days

Horizons Specialist Academy Trust consists of eight Academies and one Sixth Form across the Tees Valley and North Yorkshire area serving a population in excess of 1000 students aged 5 to 19 with a broad range of learning difficulties.

Westlands Academy is located in Thornaby and caters for students aged 11-16 who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH).

We are seeking an outstanding and enthusiastic Student Behaviour Assistant to join our team. The right candidate will work alongside our current staff using Trust procedures, to manage the improvement of behavior, attitudes and pastoral care of all students. The successful candidate will join an experienced and successful team who are committed to high standards and promoting the education and welfare of young people with SEMHD.

Previous experience of working with students with SEMHD would be desirable. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential requirements of this post. We offer a collaborative and supportive environment where staff are valued and nurtured.
