Location:
Plymouth Permanent, full-time | Monday Friday, 7:30am 4:00pm | £37,000 benefits Were looking for a hands-on, experienced Service Engineer to lead, maintain, and repair a wide range of equipment, vehicles, and marine systems across the UK and overseas. This role involves regular nights away and travel to customer sites nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Servicing, repairing, installing, and overhauling mechanical, vehicle, and marine/ship systems Leading and training staff on safe, efficient practices Planning and organising projects with operations managers Completing surveys, reports, and customer sign-offs accurately Using workshop machinery, ultrasonic cleaning, wet blasting, and HP jet washing equipment Ensuring compliance with H&S, COSHH, and ISO standards Managing waste and by-product disposal in line with environmental legislation Requirements:
Strong mechanical engineering knowledge, ideally with marine/ship systems experience Engineering/fitting qualification Minimum 1 years experience working on vehicles and/or marine systems Awareness of ISO
9001, ISO
14001, ISO
45001 standards Environmental/spill response training or willingness to undertake Willingness to travel UK-wide with nights away This is a hands-on, varied role for engineers who enjoy responsibility, problem-solving, and working across multiple sites in a dynamic environment.
