Facilities Engineer

- Role Overview :
The facilities Engineer , in collaboration with the HSE Manager, will manage and coordinate activities that will ensure the effective and efficient operation of both HT buildings ensuring that all legislative requirements are sustainably and effectively managed. Ensuring compliance with environmental, security and safety regulations. They will also, as directed by the I&D Leader, take on responsibility for other projects within the Department.
Facilities Engineer
- Key Responsibilities:

- In collaboration with the HSE manager, ensuring compliance with all onsite environmental, HSE and Safety legislation
- Working and collaborating with onsite teams and facility support contractors to ensure the HT business plans are met
- For the management of all facilities ensuring optimised Operations on site monitored via integrated Building Management System
- Working with the I & D team, collaborating on specific projects as required
- Managing and facilitating new build, renovations, refurbishments and office moves
Facilities Engineer - You:
- HND/ Degree in a recognised engineering discipline with 5 years’ experience in a process and/or manufacturing environment
- Additional Qualifications in health and safety and/or facilities management
- Successfully coordinates the implementation of new sustainable building projects and the Introduction of new capital equipment on site
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, Works well in a team and can also structure and coach staff in tasks
- Leadership skills and Experience in site and subcontractor management
- Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation, ideally with a recognised Qualification
- Ability to train and coach others in effective safety behaviours
- Work with HSE manager to Facilitate the development of robust risk management processes and procedures
- Strong (evidenced) negotiation skills for negotiating contracts and for managing projects
- Sound problem-solving skills and a willingness to be available after-hours when required to see jobs completed
