HV CONTRACT CO-ORDINATOR - PLYMOUTH

Full-Time | Permanent | Electricity Infrastructure

Let's get straight to it.

This role is not admin support.

It's not box-ticking.

And it's definitely not for someone who needs constant direction.

This is for someone who understands HV network delivery - and knows how to keep moving parts aligned when crews, permits, outages, suppliers and deadlines all collide.

If you've coordinated HV works before and can control the detail without losing sight of the bigger picture, read on.

THE ROLE

You’ll be coordinating HV delivery works across established electricity infrastructure frameworks in the Plymouth region.

That means:
  • Planning and coordinating LV / 11kV works (essential)
  • Supporting 33kV programmes (desirable)
  • Managing schedules, outages and work packs
  • Liaising with field jointers, supervisors and operational leads
  • Ensuring permits, RAMS and compliance documentation are in place
  • Tracking programme performance and reporting updates

Acting as the operational link between office and site

You are the control centre.

When you do your job well, projects flow. When you don't, everything stalls.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

Non-negotiable:

  • Experience coordinating LV and 11kV electricity works
  • Strong understanding of HV network operations
  • Experience working within regulated utility environments
  • Confidence dealing with field teams and senior stakeholders
  • Strong programme planning and problem‑solving ability
  • High attention to compliance and documentation

If you've never coordinated live HV works before - this isn't the right move.

NICE TO HAVE
  • Exposure to 33kV projects
  • Experience working within DNO frameworks
  • Familiarity with NGED processes and authorisations
  • NRSWA awareness
  • SHEA Power

These help. They're not essential.

THE PERSON

You:

  • Stay calm under pressure
  • Solve problems instead of escalating them
  • Communicate clearly - especially when things change
  • Respect deadlines
  • Understand that safety and compliance are non‑negotiable

You don't hide from issues. You handle them.

WHAT YOU GET
  • Permanent role within a secure electricity infrastructure framework
  • Competitive salary
  • Long‑term regional work
  • Clear progression into senior operational or contracts roles
  • Opportunity to support higher voltage programmes (33kV+)
LOCATION

Based in the Plymouth area, supporting works across the surrounding region.

If you understand HV delivery and want to be the person who keeps it all moving - this is worth a conversation.
