If you're a Site Engineer who thrives on technical complexity and high-spec structural delivery, this is your next long-term move. We are partnering with a Tier 1 Contractor in Plymouth to find an engineer for their specialist structural team
.

This role is for an engineer who enjoys the "heavy" side of civils. You will be working within a delivery unit focused on Submerged/Substructure Reinforced Concrete
. If your CV is built on a foundation of massive pours, intricate reinforcement, and the unique challenges of structures designed for high-stress environments, we want to talk to you.

The Role
  • Location: Plymouth, Devon

  • Contract: Long-term (Exceptional project pipeline)

  • Team focus: High-integrity structural concrete and complex substructure works.

  • Working environment: High-consequence, Tier 1 infrastructure site.

The Ideal Candidate

We need someone who understands that in this environment, "close enough" isn't good enough. You should bring:

  • Structural Expertise: A background in delivering heavy, reinforced concrete substructures‑ideally where durability and structural integrity are the primary focus.

  • Precision Control: Expert setting‑out skills for complex RC frames, foundations, and high‑spec structural elements.

  • A Quality First Mindset: Experience working to the rigorous QA standards required for marine, nuclear, or major energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pinpoint setting‑out and dimensional control for critical structural packages.

  • Manage the technical interface for the delivery team
    , ensuring compliance with design specifications.

  • Maintain comprehensive QA documentation and "as-built" records to Tier 1 standards.

  • Conduct pre-pour inspections and manage reinforcement checks alongside the Section Engineer.

Requirements
  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).

  • Advanced proficiency with Total Stations and GPS equipment.

  • Valid CSCS and a robust approach to site health and safety
