As the Site Engineer, you will manage these works' safe and compliant installation within the allocated budget and schedule. You will work within a team of engineers and supervisors to deliver the works, comply with design, secure appropriate work permits, ensure packages are managed, and follow RAMS and QA procedures. The role will involve liaising with the commercial and planning teams to optimise Programme and delivery, take opportunities, and manage risks.
Responsibilities- Setting clearly defined objectives for self and others to deliver plans. Taking appropriate ownership and accountability. Identifies and organises resources to accomplish tasks. Ensuring plans have targets, measures, and clear accountabilities.
- Be responsible for short-term programming and sequencing of works aligned to the main Programme.
- Coordinate day and night time work scopes for effective programme delivery.
- Champion health, safety, sustainability and environment by putting personal safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.
- Proactively manage your packages to Programme, identify risks and opportunities, monitor the budget, and liaise with the planner and relevant QS to manage your works.
- Ensuring permits, RAMS, QA documents are in place and completed as relevant to your works.
- Support and coach your engineers in delivering the works in your package.
- Achieving the required level of Quality, drive efficiency and continual productivity improvements, creating best practices for the team and adding value for our customers.
- Good delivery experience in civils ground works, and structural steel works
- Wider appreciation for Architectural fit out and M&E and Systems installation.
- Package management experience, including short term programming, budget monitoring and reporting
- Knowledge and experience of NEC contracts
- Able to support, coach and lead a team of engineers, supervisors and partners to achieve your teams tasks.
- Passionate about improving performance identifying opportunities to improve our quality and productivity through best practice, process improvements and continuous improvement practices.
- Able to work and learn quickly in a fast paced, fun and dynamic environment.
Care about doing a great job and exceeding expectations with the quality of what you do
- Experience working at Heathrow and /or a LIVE operational highly regulated environment
- A positive and proactive attitude.
- Proficient user of AutoCAD 3D, Civil3D, BIM
360, Bentley Micro Station 3D Modelling and Point Cloud
- Degree level/HNC/HND qualification in Civil Engineering and relevant professional experience
- SMSTS
- CSCS
- Driving licence
