Senior Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer
Certain Advantage is hiring for a Senior Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer based in the Southwest area. This role is on a permanent basis and is site-based.
The CompanyWe’re working with an engineering company specialising in solving complex engineering challenges across industries—including Power Generation, Rail and more.
Responsibilities- Technical leadership on control and instrumentation systems.
- Supporting asset lifecycle management.
- Developing modifications and upgrades.
- Ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory and operational requirements.
- Degree in Control & Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- Experience in C&I engineering within a highly regulated industry.
- Industrial control systems, PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation and functional safety.
- Producing and reviewing engineering calculations, specifications and design documentation.
- Understanding of safety-critical environments and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience with IEC 61508/61511 functional safety standards.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working in defence, energy, infrastructure or process industries.
- Salary circa £55,000 per annum.
