FCAW Welder

We are looking for Class 1 Flux Core Welders to join our team at Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth.
This is a great opportunity to work on exciting submarine engineering projects.

What you'll need:

• Strong capability in Flux Core welding on heavy plate, structural steel, or marine-grade materials
• Experience working in shipbuilding, ship repair, infrastructure, or large-scale construction environments
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions
• Confident use of welding sets, fabrication tools, and general workshop equipment
• Marine engineering background or experience on Royal Navy or commercial vessels

• Time-served trade apprenticeship in welding, fabrication, marine, or naval engineering
  - Desirable
• Indentured Apprenticeship relevant to welding
  - Desirable
• Level 3 Engineering or Modern Apprenticeship
  - Desirable
• Level 2 Engineering qualification supported by significant practical experience
  - Desirable

• Apply Flux Core welding to a variety of heavy-duty marine and structural components
• Butt Welds 25mm/Fillet Welds 12mm
