Plymouth (Hybrid Working - 3 days a week in office and 2 WFH)

Start Date:

February 2026 Duration: 12 Months Initially (with strong possibility of extension) Day Rate: £225 – £275 per day (DOE) About the Organisation:

Hays are working with a well‑established and impactful charity based in the Plymouth area is seeking an experienced Interim Management Accountant to support its growing finance team. The organisation is undergoing a period of positive expansion, creating the need for additional capacity within financial operations. Reason for Vacancy:

Due to growth within the team, the charity is expanding its financial function and requires an interim professional to support increased operational and reporting demands.

The Role:

As the Interim Management Accountant, you will provide high‑quality financial reporting, analysis, and business partnering across the charity. You’ll work closely with operational teams and senior leadership, ensuring accurate financial insight and helping maintain strong financial governance during a period of organisational growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasts, and variance analysis Support in budgeting and long‑term financial planning Assistance with year‑end processes and audit preparation Financial support and guidance to budget holders Contribution to process improvements and finance projects Ensuring compliance with charity financial regulations and reporting standards

About You:

Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE Strong experience in producing management accounts Charity sector experience is beneficial but not essential Confident communicator skilled at supporting non‑finance stakeholders Available to start in February 2026 Working Arrangements & Benefits:
