Salary:
From £40,000 p.a. (DOE)
Location: Derriford Business Park, Plymouth – hybrid opportunities available
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent (37 hours per week)
At Delt Shared Services, our Finance team keeps the business running smoothly behind the scenes; ensuring our customers, partners, and colleagues are supported by robust, reliable financial services.
We’re looking for a proactive and commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team s is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting organisational growth and change, working closely with senior finance colleagues and stakeholders across the business.
You’ll be at the heart of financial planning, analysis and reporting – helping teams make informed decisions, maintain strong cost control and continuously improve performance.
What you’ll be doing- Partnering with the wider business to support accurate budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
- Project Accounting, including:
- Monitoring project costs and margins
- Reviewing proposals and incoming orders
- Analysing time and expenses
- Raising customer invoices
- Supporting project queries and debt collection
- Working closely with the Procurement Team to ensure contract data is accurate and reflected correctly in customer reporting.
- Resource Accounting, including utilisation and income analysis, creation of plans and resources in the project system and supporting Resource Managers, where needed.
- Supporting the budgeting and month-end accounting processes, including variance analysis, prepayments, accruals and monthly reviews with Budget Managers.
- Advising on opportunities to improve business performance and strengthen systems and controls.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, ICAEW or equivalent). Qualified by experience candidates will also be considered.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and ad-hoc requests.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build strong relationships and provide trusted financial advice.
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning and/or a Project System would be beneficial but is not essential.
- A full clean driving licence is desirable but not essential
