Location: Derriford Business Park, Plymouth – hybrid opportunities available

Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent (37 hours per week)

At Delt Shared Services, our Finance team keeps the business running smoothly behind the scenes; ensuring our customers, partners, and colleagues are supported by robust, reliable financial services.

We’re looking for a proactive and commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team s is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting organisational growth and change, working closely with senior finance colleagues and stakeholders across the business.

You’ll be at the heart of financial planning, analysis and reporting – helping teams make informed decisions, maintain strong cost control and continuously improve performance.

• Partnering with the wider business to support accurate budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Project Accounting, including:
  • Monitoring project costs and margins
  • Reviewing proposals and incoming orders
  • Analysing time and expenses
  • Raising customer invoices
  • Supporting project queries and debt collection
  • Working closely with the Procurement Team to ensure contract data is accurate and reflected correctly in customer reporting.
• Resource Accounting, including utilisation and income analysis, creation of plans and resources in the project system and supporting Resource Managers, where needed.
• Supporting the budgeting and month-end accounting processes, including variance analysis, prepayments, accruals and monthly reviews with Budget Managers.
• Advising on opportunities to improve business performance and strengthen systems and controls.

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, ICAEW or equivalent). Qualified by experience candidates will also be considered.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and ad-hoc requests.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build strong relationships and provide trusted financial advice.
• Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning and/or a Project System would be beneficial but is not essential.
• A full clean driving licence is desirable but not essential
