Location: Plymouth
Salary: £28,000-£30,000
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Butler Rose is pleased to be partnering with a reputable and growing organisation to recruit a Senior Finance Administrator. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take on a senior-level administrative role, providing oversight, guidance, and support across key finance processes.
The RoleAs Senior Finance Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of core finance operations. Acting as an escalation point for complex queries, you will support the wider finance team while helping to drive process improvements and maintain high standards across systems and reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee invoice processing to ensure accuracy, compliance, and high-quality output
- Investigate and resolve complex invoice discrepancies and queries
- Support and review bank payments, ensuring adherence to approval controls
- Provide oversight of bank reconciliations and escalate any anomalies
- Act as the escalation point for complex finance-related queries
- Support and guide Finance Administrators in resolving issues effectively
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and supplier account records
- Ensure data integrity across finance systems
- Prepare KPI reports, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Assist with month-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and outputs are accurate
- Proven experience in a finance administration or similar role, ideally at a senior level
- Strong understanding of transactional finance processes and controls
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy
- Confident communicator with the ability to support and guide colleagues
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
