The Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Legal Cashier to join our Cashiers team. This role plays an important part in managing client and office accounts and ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules across the firm.
You will work across a range of areas including client transactions, billing, Court of Protection, and office accounts, as part of a supportive and experienced team.
What will you do?You will primarily work within one area but will also provide support across other parts of the cashiering function as needed.
Client Account- Processing client receipts and payments
- Supporting property completions and processing related transfers
- Assisting with client account reconciliations
- Ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and internal controls
- Managing Deputy bank accounts and financial transactions
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting reconciliations and reporting requirements
- Preparing and reviewing completion statements (residential and commercial)
- Supporting firm-wide billing processes
- Checking bill requests and posting bills
- Processing supplier invoices and payments
- Assisting with office account transactions
- Supporting bank reconciliations and month-end processes
- Processing BACS, Faster Payments and internal transfers
- Posting interest and managing deposit accounts
- Processing and banking cheques as required
- Responding to queries from colleagues in a timely manner
The post holder will be expected to undertake other duties as assigned from time to time appropriate to the role.
You will be based at our offices on North Hill with potential to work from home part of the week subject to training and business need.
